This tutorial will show you how to set up your RealNames email on your Android smartphone.
These screenshots were taken on a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. If you are using a different model of phone powered by the Android OS, there may be slight differences in what you see on your phone.
1. Select Email from your home screen.
2. Enter your full Email Addressand Email Password.
Tap Next.
3. Select IMAP account.
4. Enter the following Incoming Server settings
- Email address: your full Email Address
- Username: your full Email Address
- Password: your Email Password
- IMAP server: Enter mail.realnames.com
- Security type: SSL (accept all certificates)
- Port: 993
Tap Next.
5. Enter the following Outgoing Server Settings:
- SMTP server: Enter mail.realnames.com
- Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates)
- Port: 465
- Check the box: Require sign-in
- Username: your full Email Address
- Password: your Email Password
Tap Next.
6. By default, your phone will check for new email every 15 minutes. You can tap the mailbox options below for account specific settings.
Tap Next.
7. Type a name for your email account and your name as you want it to appear on outgoing messages.
Tap Done.
Your device will load your messages. You can now send and receive your RealNames email on your phone!
