This tutorial will show you how to deactivate your RealNames email address.
Note: You will immediately lose access to your mailbox upon deactivation. You will also lose the ability to send and receive emails at that address. Anyone who sends mail to a deactivated address will receive a "bounce message" saying the address no longer exists.
The email address you deactivate will not be renewed by RealNames on its regular renewal date.
RealNames will store your existing messages for a minimum of 90 days, or until your original expiry/renewal date (whichever is further away: expiry or 90 days).
You can reactivate to regain access to your mail within the above mentioned period.
To deactivate your email address:
1. Log in to your RealNames account at realnames.com/signin.
2. Click on the gear icon to the right of the email address you wish to deactivate.
3. Click Deactivate Mailbox.
4. Click Deactivate.
Your email address is now deactivated.
